Waste Disposal and Waste Reduction

Basically, atelier damböck stresses the careful and purposeful recycling of residual waste, used paper, metal and wood. We have a modern wood chip processing plant with a special filter in which wood residues are pulverised and together with the filtered sawdust, pressed into pellets. These are used for heating the entire company building and thus account for 90% of the heating energy.

Any waste that is generated when setting up or pulling down the trade fair stands is not disposed of locally, but brought into the company premises, recycled and also used for making pellets. In addition, attention is paid to the re-use of decoration materials and high-value floorings. Thanks to the modular construction, wall materials are also used several times over. The basic principle followed when working is: orderly dismantling instead of fast demolition of a trade fair stand.

A storage area of 6,000 sq. m. makes it possible to store all the fair stand parts that can be re-used in future fair stands. Systematic planning of all the constructional details is viewed as a precondition for all projects, as a result of which unnecessary waste is avoided. Even when selecting the products, a great deal of value is placed on materials manufactured in an eco-friendly manner, such as the use of environment-friendly enamels and paints. In the new paint mixing system, paints and colours are now mixed in exactly the proportions required.

CO2 exhaust

By optimising the logistic sequences, especially when transporting the fair stand material to and fro, unnecessary travel trips are avoided.
The in-house workshops (carpentry, fitting shop, electrical and lighting shop, paint shop) not only make fast and flexible working possible, but also avoid long supply routes and can be monitored directly with regard to environment protection.

Energy

It is possible to save energy through complete building automation. One example of this is the energy-saving lighting system, which is controlled on a time-oriented and daylight-oriented basis. The natural light insolation was taken into account right at the planning stage for the company building. Hence, a long, high window front ensures that the team can work in pleasant natural light and at the same time, unnecessary energy consumption of energy is avoided.

Water resources management

Using a grey water tank, rain water is collected and used for watering our gardens and for cleaning our vehicle fleet. Harmful pollutants like oil residues are separated by specially integrated special filters and thus do not pollute the drainage water or the ground water.

Ecological value addition

We have also made a small contribution to general ecological improvement by setting up a water body biotope in the company premises, which is home to many animals and plants..
